FFCHS April Fort Lewis College Visit Agenda & Schedule for Fort Lewis College Trip
Chaperones: 5 to 6
Students: Approximately 17students ranging in age from 8th to 12th grades
FRIDAY Aprll 1st, 2022
I. Meet at Welte Education Center at 6:45 AM
a. Bus will depart at 7:00 AM
II. Arrive at Fort Lewis College between 1 :00 and 1 :30 PM
a. Check in with the College at l :30 PM
• Kroeger Hall Check-in: 1000 Rim Dr., Durango, CO 81301
One chaperone will come into the building to check-in the group and to pick up the walk-in forms. The rest of the group will stay outside.
• Students fill out walk in forms.
b. Lunch In the Dining Hall from 1 :45-2:20 PM
• Rocket Grill:l 000 Rim Dr., Durango, CO 81301
• District 8 will pay for everyone at the counter ($6.92 w/o tax and $7.50 including tax). We do need a copy of the tax-exempt certificate to be able to charge w/o tax.
c. Information Session from 2:30-3:00 PM
• College guide will lead group to one of the classrooms, and an Admission Counselor will then give a 30-minute information session

d. Presentation on behalf of the Native American Center 3:00-3:13PM
• Simon Chief, Director of Native American Center will be presenting information.
e. Campus Tour 3:15-4:30 PM
• Tour will include seeing the Native American Center

• Recommendations from Megan Wellnitz
Since the group will actually be attending the powwow on Friday, then perhaps choosing the faster restaurants will be better such as Zia Taqueria or Home Slice
